odd occurance this morning on my Mystqiue. I started teh car up and backed it out of the garage and let it run while I took the garbage can to the end of the driveway and went back inside for my things. come back out and get in the car and my airbag light is on. Now I don't recall seeing it stay on after I started the car and back it out of the garage. so on the drive to work I checked and the horn and cc worked. Got to work and shut the car off and turned it back on, airbag light came on as normal and then turned off. cycled the ignition again and started the car and all was normal.

fluke or possible other problem? I did not observe the light blinking at all, just on.

Before my CEG days I had a similar issues. The airbag light was just on, but only sometimes. Had "some airbag sensor" replaced. (this was before I knew anything about cars, unfortunately...)

well thats the thing, it was completely random. after like 120k miles its the first time its ever happened ....

You may have a sensor that is failing. They do that in really cold temps when the sensors start going bad.

Just keep an eye on it!

I had that happen once and it freaked me out, so I shut the car down and restarted it and it never happened again. I chalked it up to stray electrons not being able to deal with the Monday morning post weekend blahs.

it was near freezing this morning iirc, it has been colder the last few weeks and it wasn't a problem.

I think work for every monday suffers from the weekend blahs

my assumption is some water or ice got into an airbag sensor connector causing poor communication with the ECU, after driving to work, warming the car up allowed the ice to melt and the connection to get strong again.

cold also could be affecting a sensor which is on its last leg.

I have the solid airbag light on in my 2k SVT. Has been on ever since I owned it(1 month). Should I assume bad sensors and change them or can the dealership tell me something?

try un-hooking the battery and unhook the airbag sensors and apply die electric grease to the front tow airbag sensors
