I am glad to hear the apology.. no worries and no problems! However, I don't think that YOUR perception of how good a "yota" (toyota, I assume..) is is a fair one. HONESTLY, if nothing came in but routine maintenance (and the main demographic of a toyota driver isn't a millionaire!) then how would the shop justify its own expenses? It would be shut down. Maintenance alone is nowhere NEAR enough to pay for a shop.

Same as the maytag man.. if he was HONESTLY out of service repairs, he'd be out of a JOB.. not sitting around looking pretty.

Actually, he may be out of job since they just closed the Newton, IA plant :nonono: Alot of good hard workers out of jobs now.

Thats why you rarely see JUST a Toyota dealership. We are a Toyota/GMC/Buick/Hyundai dealership. There is a Toyota dealership about 20 miles from ours and they basically dont have a service department because they only sell Toyotas. I was telling someone else about that. Thats why you rarely see just a Toyota dealer.

These cars are the best I had a 98 mystique and hit a cement median almost head on at 70+ miles and all that happened to me was a broken leg (femur), broken collarbone, and a gashed up chin that needed stiches. My friend only got the wind knocked out of him. We were both lucky and I thank my mystique for holding up in that situation.

thats the second worst mystique I saw. We found one where the firewall was about 1 foot from the front seat and the steering wheel almost even with the headrest. There was a bottle crushed in half from the firewall still in the cup holder. Theres pictures of the front end in this thread on page 5 http://contour.org/ceg-vb/showthread.php?t=20882

There were faint stains of what was probably blood on the seats. Made me want to throw up and it still hasn't gotten out of my mind...

Also look this CSVT
I think all CEGers from the old site should remember FastCougar's 3L CSVT. He got one of the longest thread documenting his progress in the Force Induction board.

The car rolled a couple times, when the newly finished 3L swap logged a whopping 110 miles. (distance, not speed). The guy walked out totally fine, other than cursing the damn road + deers + whatever. He moved on to build his own turbo Cougar, and his fine 3L setup + brand new HMS tranny, found new lives within my car.

Every time we talked about the freaky accident, we laughed out loud. He showed me the road where he rolled the car. Under that condition, the car has shown to be very safe.

This is my favorite wrecked Contour. It saved my life and my passenger. We literally walked away from this almost completely unscathed:
