Long story short, engine wiring was eaten by vermin. Purchased car as-is with harness disassembled. Snagged a replacement harness / 98 SVT via Flint, MI craigslist. A few plugs I cant seem to find a lover for.

Exhibit #1
5 pin / 2 used near the brake booster. Has the metal retaining clip. Violet/white stripe and solid violet wires.

Exhibit #2
In heatsheild wrap- green housing, innerds are neon yellow. Brown/gold stripe and white wire/black stripe wires.

Exhibit #3
There is a small harness that goes to the coil pack. Coming off of this small harness is this single wire female plug. Violet with blue stripe.

Exhibit #4
Secured snug to the harness, just inside of the brake booster is another plug. Female. Innerd is bright blue and pins are in a triangular formation. 3 wires, looks like green/red stripe, black/orange stripe, white/blue stripe. Difficult to see and photograph, see screwdriver:

I very well could be missing components.

The first one goes to the top of the tranny.. Right below the intake accordian tube. Take it off, and u'll be able to see it.
The second is the knock sensor i believe
The third goes nowhere. That stays the way it is
The fourth plug is where u plug ur Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) into
The 1st, 2nd, & 4th connections will all throw CELs if disconnected/non functional

EDIT- #3 shouldnt be at the coilpack area. It's supposed to be right next to the driver's side strut tower. #1 & #4 connections are very close to each other. They're pretty much in the area above the tranny. #2 goes to the bottom firewall side. Jack the car up so u can reach under it. The connection it slides into will be on the engine block, close to where the driver side axle enters the tranny. Once the accordian tube is off, u'll be able to fix all three easily.

#1 as mentioned, reverse light switch for tranny
#2 knock sensor, back side of engine
#3 connection next to coil pack, mating connector goes to a capacitor, which should be bolted underneath one of the corners of the coil pack
#4 EDIT: This goes to the vehicle speed sensor on the tranny.

#4 is the VSS

#3 Sound vibration eliminator plug located off coil pack bolt

#2 Knock sensor located side of engine closest to the firewall on the left side of the exhaust manifold closest to the trans

#1 Shift tower reverse light switch plug located on the shift tower.

thx for the confirmation fellas. Terms evade me a lot. I dont have that sound vibrating thingy on my coilpack tho. All i've got is the lil black box thing that bolts through one corner of the coilpack and valvecover.
EDIT- My mistake on #3. What they ^^^ said...

Haha.. aka capacitor, I like how they call the coil pack a 'ignition transformer'

Thank you all very much. I routed the wiring harness from Passenger to Driver side, and it was too high up on the firewall, if that makes any sense. I've managed to fish it back thru vacuum, power steering, and AC line hell, it now sits lower and things are plugging in like they should, where they should. Appears I need to hit the salvage for this coil pack bolt mounted vibration flux capacitor.

Appears my MTX75 is looking for a round 2-plug male connector on top of the transaxle, whereas I have a rectangular 5 pin (2 used) male. If reverse lamps are my biggest issue, I am in better shape than I thought.

Thanks again, my fellow Contoursionists.

That's because someone probably swapped your shift tower with a focus tower, which uses a different reverse switch. There is an adapter harness to go from the two pin connector to the 5 pin connector.

Here are snap shots of mine, best shots I have without switching computers...

EDIT:
Here you go better pics from my other computer where I have my MTX75 build pictures saved...

Adapter harness needed...

So now the question is do you still have the adapter harness that was on the old car... it had to have one, otherwise the reverse lights wouldn't have functioned.

If you don't have it your going to have to order a new one... YS4Z-15525-BA is the Ford part number. When I bought it, it was $14.52. Looks like the price went up, but it still shows up at Tousley Ford for $19.58

The cat buries better ••••• in my yard.

What you are looking at is the former restroom area for a family of mice. They are greasy rodents who make #1 and #2 everywhere they go.

Have a look under the UIM. #1, #2, probably some mouse love juice, grass, oh and acorns:

Needless to say, its cleaner now.
Mice love plug wires.

They also enjoy insulation, off the hood, firewall, or wiring.

Ha... there is your own answer to where the #3 connector went... that is the capacitor connection right there  Except that plastic clip isn't supposed to go through that, that is supposed to be bolted down underneath your coil pack at the left upper corner bolt.

Thank you for the part number. If I get her running, I will order this piece. Checked the old harness that was on the car, there is an adapter, of sorts. Maybe more of an insert. Eitherway, not what I need, but YS4Z-15525-BA will do the trick.

Looking at this car... I would just pull the engine and clean everything out. If that ever gets up and running... man I wouldn't be surprised if something caught on fire.
