im trying to decide where to spend my money on the CSVT. i was not going to touch this car, but i dont have anything else to mess with and well, you know how that goes.... i just stepped down for my 5.0 stang to this, but it was a good replacement!

so im trying to decide between looks and mechanics i guess you could say. i wanted to turbo it, but im going to hold off for now.

so its between rims: Euro SVTs

or suspension: BAT kit w/springs and keep the E0s for now

keep in mind my car has 145k, its very clean but i think it may be more fun to drive with some handling mods

input on both would be great, and im planning on getting the nautalis CAI kit to help my performance itch, what do you guys think of that?

very nice and clean SVT

i would go with function before looks personally. you mentioned you think it would be more fun to drive with the BAT kit... and it would. From what ive heard the NPG is a PITA to install but gives good performance.

Thanks!

haha well i do like the Euros, but i have good tires on my E0s so i can make a rim decision when i need tires and make it more enjoyable to drive for now!

everyone seems to like the BATs, so hopefully ill have good success if i do that

yeah... i was planning on getting them... untill i decided not to upgrade at all.

but they are spoken of highly from what i have read. a decent price too considering its a high performance kit.

good luck with your upgrades :)

I upgraded my suspension with the BAT kit and haven't looked back. It makes a big difference, especially if your suspension is original at 145k. I replaced mine at 97k and have been really happy with it.

I'd lower it, That way your get better handling and better looks. If I were you, I would skip out on the Naut. CAI and just go with a K&N with a heat shield. Way cheaper and I would think very close performance wise, oh and the sound:)

K&N, heatshield, and 65mm TB=:drool::drool: in the sound catagory

Thanks for the comments guys!

Ok so im planning on getting the BAT kit this week! but i was thinking, im trying to save as much money as i can... my car has 140k on it, i DD, and im not concerned about lowering it. although it would be nice

i just want it to handle better. should i just get the BAT struts for all 4 corners or would it be wise to just get the kit with the springs? or just use my stock springs with new struts/shocks?

i would be spend 625 on the kit or save 200 and just get struts and shocks... i wasnt sure if the stock springs wear badly or not? i could use that 200 bucks somewhere else on the car... or put it towards rims:cool:

Thanks for the input

You'll love the difference between a 140,000 mile ride, and one on fresh struts and springs.

You should go with the BAT Euro handling kit, its nearly the cheapest way to replace all 4 struts and springs without buying all stock. Get the bat struts since they are slightly stiffer and a little shorter than stock so that makes up for the fact the bat springs are shorter. Bat struts will last longer than the stockers on lowered springs.

The bat springs are a progressive rate spring, and the stock ones do wear out or break even. The lower stance will make the car feel faster too, plus you will get much better handling out of a progressive spring. Never put nice wheels on a stock height car.

Its worth it. And if you do get around to buying the NPG cold air intake, its a bit of a pain to install cause you gotta cut the inner fender wall but the sound is sehksi.

The BAT kit was my 2nd favorite mod I've done, lowers it just enough to look sweet w/o compromising the ride ability.

FWIW, headers were my favorite mod (after I got the son's of :censored:'s in)

thanks for the advice guys. i thinkll ill just bite the bullett and go all out and get the whole kit! im sure itll be alot more fun to drive, which is what i want.
i think im going to just get a normal CAI with a heatshield.

"getsum111" did you feel some performance gain with headers? im not looking for sound at all, im to use to my old 5.0
