The pin on my VSS where it mounts onto the gearbox is broken and I think that a piece may be wedged inside the fitting on the gearbox. I just tried to install a new VSS and I cannot get the new pin to go down into the gearbox fitting far enough to tighten the VSS down. Does anyone have any solutions? Can you remove the fitting from the gearbox? It has outside threads - the threads that go into the gearbox are the same threads the VSS couple to. Also, is there a name for the fitting on the gearbox as I think removing this may be the only way. Thanks for all replys.
