173 EGO not switching? car runs like , misses like crazy unless floored and over 3500RPM. when creating a vaccume leak the reading on the O2 senser doesnt change. Its EGO another term for the O2 sensor??? i'm confused...

I have the 173 code as "Oxygen sensor not switching - system is OR was Rich - Single, right or REAR HO2S"
How many miles on that sensor?

Mine says EGO, but same code number. I only have one O2 sensor, but yea i have a rich condition also. i only have about 35-40K on the sensor.

supposively the o2 sensor, when i create a vaccume leak, there is no change in the reading on the o2 sensor. tomorrow i'm ordering one from Ford at work and seeing if that fixes it, i'll let you know how it works.
