3L finally in all the way - Car not starting

I'm having a problem with the coil not sparking. I just had the 3l installed and it's not starting. The installer is hooked up to the computer but the coil is not recognizing the engine spinning.

What the #$%^ is wrong now....???

Umm did you keep the pulse wheel on the 2.5 position? Ruh roh looks like another.

Um...what? I didnt' do the swap so I don't know.
What's the pulse wheel and how is this fixed???

Ok, pulse wheel is in the 2.5 position, just talked to the mech, now what else could it be?

it could be the crankshaft position sensor or the camshaft position sensor.

he's checking those, there was a problem with the wiring harness on the crankshaft sensor I think but he doesn't think that's the source.

Just out of curiosity, what does your mechanic charge hourly?.. 6 or 12 pack?

Seriously, sounds like you need a new mechanic.

You would be suprised how many issues can be cause from the wiring harness/connections!

Ditto. Check the 3 main harness plugs back by the rear valve cover on the passenger side. I had to take a pair of clamps to get one to click together. That was my culprit as to why mine wouldnt start after the swap.

mine wouldnt start at first because i had the crank sensor and the cam sensor mixed up. they seem to be the only two connectors that will interchange! and they are 6 inches away from eachother so its easy to mess up that wiring.

Yea we figured it out, trying to get a new harness now.
