i see a bunch of responses for the 3L and how the 3.86 is better for it, but what about the 2.5L engine.? How would the driving be?

3.86 Final drive connected to a stock 2.5?

No one has an opinion of how the acceleration or top speed will be with a stock motor + the final drive (3.8) swap

Basically you would gain some top speed for each gear but the 2.5 has less tq/hp so in my opinion the acceleration might be slightly less. I think it would be a very slight difference, but considering the high rpm nature of the stock engine the 4.06 fd would keep the rpms in a more optimal range compared to a lower fd.
the euro V6's, including the ST200 have a 3.84 as stock. The ST200's top out at 142mph (17" rims)No one has an opinion of how the acceleration or top speed will be with a stock motor + the final drive (3.8) swap
and are as quick as the SVT's. The SE's equivelent, the ST24 (16" rims) does 134mph.. more if you SVT lite it. .... G.
