Hi

I have fitted SVT LIM, UIM and 3.0ltr TB.

A question I have is on the bottom of the TB is like a hole that i believe goes through to the back of the TB thus bypassing the butterfly.

Does anyone know what this is for? should it be left open or should it be blanked off?

Regards

Ah right Idle Air Control valve.

Yes I have one of these bolted on the back of the UIM but nowhere on it for anything to plug into it apart from the electrical connector.

Any suggestions? shall I just blank it off, I must admit I have a little concern about my idle speed as it now sits at 1100rpm since the svt conversion when it use to sit at approx 750rpm.

You know a 3L TB is a 60mm which is the same as an SVT TB w/o all the work. I don't think your setup will work w/o a lot of work.

Ah.. I was assuming that you got the tb with a 3.0L motor. The tb is for the 3.0l UIM, where the IAC mounts right behind the TB... so the bypass flows directly to the IAC. If you don't have a 3.0L (along with it's LIM/UIM) then consider junking it. If all the linkage fits up, then you *might* be ok with filling it with JB weld.
