I am looking to build up a 3.0 and am having troubles finding performance parts.
So far I found pistons and rods. I was wonduring if there was any place that does performance heads, Cams. I want to get over 400 hp w/ turbo.

pnpheads.com will port your heads for you.

Your best option for cams are probably just the SVT cams.

If you have an SVT already, just throw in a 3.0L with your cams. Youll make 400 hp easily.

What have you been smokin'? Have you look at your own signature lately?

Geez. Why so hostile? 364 whp is roughly 445 hp. Im assuming you thought I was talking about wheel hp? The originator of the post said 400 hp, so I'm taking that to mean 400 crank hp. Either way, Ray has already shown to make about 400 whp on a stock 3.0L.

You only need about 340 whp to make about 400 crank hp. Sounds pretty feasiable to me on a relatively stock 3.0L and turbo.

So with diamond or ross pistons, pauter rods, pnp heads, svt cams, and svt upper and lower intakes, headers, exhaust and turbo I should make well into the 400 whp range? What is the highest anyone has seen a contour?

Yeah, you should easily be in the 400 whp range. Ray is using a stock 3.0L Escape block without aftermarket rods and pistons and is making near 400 whp so it isnt neccessary, but probably recommended. 400 whp is about the most someone has done in a contour. It would be easy to go higher but the anything above even at 350 whp, I wouldnt get traction until 4th gear with my 17" wheels.

Just for comparison, the most hp in a Noble which uses the 3.0L duratec is 640 whp.

Sorry about that. There is a w after the 400 hp on the original post which I remembered at wheel hp. Looking back I can see that he meant the w to go with turbo as in with turbo.

From what I remember, the highest posted was just under 400 wheel hp, and thus my post. I'm sure there is more power available with some work, but that doesn't mean it comes easy.
