Hello, i searched for an answer but didn't find it so I'm posting my problem, ok yesterday it snowed here in Hampton ga, well the car was running good so today in the morning I turned on the car and got on the road then about 30 mins later car heated up I mean all the way to hot, I got home and I sprayed water on the radiator the reservor was at max. I turned it back on and did the same thing after I drove around the block. When I turn the car off and open the hood I hear water boiling around where the water pump is, also the water reservor has 2 hoses going out and the top one gets hot, bottom one is cool.
What can it be??????????

Do NOT drive that car until you remove the old water pump, flush the pieces out of the system and install a new pump & thermostat.

If you have slagged your engine, what color is that car? I may buy it from you.

I won't drive it. The car is frost silver but has hail damage you can see it in the thread hail in fayettvile under general discusion section. I'm not planning on selling the car but if wosrt comes I will let you know.
Anyway does anyone has a how to remove the water pump on a 2000 csvt. Thanks

Its pretty easy, remove the airbox and battery...that should give you plenty of room. I have had to replace 2, both in parking lots pretty far fom home.

Hey I'm so happy I took the cover off and the water pump belt was messed up so I went to autozone and bought it, I replaced it and it seems to be perfect again.
Thanks to everybody

Need to check (change) the water pump. Chances are the water pump belt messed up because the water pump wasn't turning properly.
