Hi guys! Manual 2000 V6 here.
Have a look at this picture, the second linkage from the bottom.
The Collet (Grommet) in the white plastic coupling has come out. This caused the linkage to slip off of the shift assembly nipple. I have called every ford dealer looking for the part number f7rz 7412 aa, but apparently Ford does not make this part anymore.

I can't keep riding my motorcycle in Michigan weather.
Any ideas on what I can do? Everything is fine except for this rubber collet!

Thanks in advance!

Some people put a piece of 1/4 fuel hose in hole and put a C-clip over the end for a quick repair. Another fix is to replace with the late 99-2000 shift cables. In your linked picture they are the top style of cables.

Thanks for the tips, I actually just found a teflon bushing that fit, and used a clip washer to hold it in place.
We will see if it works!
