I searched, and just want to see if this is still current. I am replacing my LCA's soon  , and was wondering about the bolts that hold it to the subframe. Is Ford the only place to get them still, or will a Lowe's or Home Depot have what I need? I searched the old forums, but couldn't seem to find the size that I need. I don't want to spend $90 of 4 bolts and nuts unless I have to. Thanks.

I just got them from Bill they were only a couple dollars a piece. You only really need one. All of mine were in good shape and easily came out. If I remember I will look for the part number for the nut and bolt if I still have the packaging.

you need to get them from Ford unless you have a specialty store that has the same kind of bolt, when I check the one near me they didn't ahve anyhting of the sort and could only order a package of 50 .... these are high grade bolts with an anti-corosive coating and they are metric ... not common enough for you local hardware store ... have to get them from Ford. I would call Bill but I do believe that the bolts/nuts you need are the same as the larger bolts for the 4-bolt arms

Cool. I'm just worried since many complained that they were sent the "wrong" bolts when I searched. Thanks guys.

I would confirm with the correct part numbers first, I just hae a feeling that the large bolts are the same but i am not sure

Sorry it took so long for me to get these numbers. This is what was sent to me. W703901-S309 this is the part number for 4 bolts. I have no reason to believe they are wrong. They looked the same as the ones I took out 10.9 stamped on the head and gold in color. The nuts were W703016-S306 this is a package of 1. Like I stated earlier I only cut and replaced one. I had to jack the engine up for one of the passenger ones but I got it out and back in again.

Thanks, but I already got the new ones from Bill J, and the new LCA's are on. I do appreciate the help, tho. At least hte #'s will turn up if anyone else searches, so it's cool.

yup, that does help, I'm going to have to place an order, when doing my suspension swap we had to cut out the front most bolt on the drivers side. Theres a nice hardened steel bolt in there now but its just a hair narrower than the stock one [which is fine since the car isnt seeing any use at all].

Needing 2 LCA bolts

Needing 2 LCA bolts

Hey I was needing just two LCA bolts (W703901-S309) and I went to the dealer's and they said I had to buy all four at 7.50 a piece. I was wanting to know if anyone here could get them a lot cheaper. Thanks

Bill Jenkins at Teamfordlv.com. Check the web site for the phone # and have the part number handy. You'll get better pricing & you only have to buy one bolt - unless ford is gettin' funky on us.

One of the best sources for high grade hardened Metric flange head bolts is a Honda or Yamaha motorcycle dealer. Sometimes you will also be able to find them at a well stocked tractor dealer or farm & implement supply dealer.

good suggestion, I know I tried a motorcycle/atv dealer when I was looking for a longer bolt to install my dmd but had no luck ...

but remember these are high grade, most likely a 10 or better and have an anti corrosion coating, a very special bolt ...

I'm not sure about other states.. but we have Copperstate Nuts & Bolts... and they have pretty much everything. Even got a nice class 12.9 bolt for my trans mount.

The 2 bolt and 4 bolt arms use the same hardware. Only difference is that there's less bolts (obviously!). You can get plated (corrosion resistant) bolts from an aftermarket supplier. Only major difference is that the Ford bolts will be of the correct length and they have the built in washer type head. If you're willing to look around and have a supplier who will sell onesies/twosies, you're in business. Any large metropolitan area will have decent hardware suppliers.

The nuts are just nylocks (w/ built in washers) and can be reused.

Possibly you've misunderstood. Let me clarify it for you....

Each 4 bolt A arm uses 2-12mm bolts and 2-10mm bolts. Pitch for the 12mm is 1.75 and 1.5 for the 10mm. Each 2 bolt A arm uses 2-12mm bolts. They are the same bolts.
