1995 Contour engine replaced, now VSS not working - looking to locate it, prob missed a plug?

Long time car hobbyist, sell about 15 a year, usually Volvo - yeah, I know don't yell.... but what the heck, I'm trying a 1995 Contour for the first time, just stuck a used power plant in and VSS is not workin...

Can anyone tell me where to look for it?

Oh, yeah, it's a late 1995 with 112K on it, clean little white non-smoker....cheap project.

Oh, yeah, one more thing, it's a 2.0

VSS is on the top of the trans near the firewall, it has a length of wire sticking coming out of it and a triangular, 3-pin connector.

Get to it from under car, tucked up kinda on a semi ledge up there..........
