1991 MR2 Turbo Pics and Poll

Hey Guys I bought a daily im finally very happy with. Since Im gonna be in the paint shop the next couple of weeks for the CSVT. I figured Id paint my MR2 cause of the infamous clear issue.

I will be painting it the same color Crimson Red with a lot of clear and with a black roof!

The car has been modded originally with a whole bunch of extras so the price was great! I am not fond of some issues with the motor, so I bought a newish 1993 jdm motor, 95+ Gen3 CT20b Turbo, 3" Exhaust (already on the car, got rid of the 2.5" one on the picture), DP, ACT Modified clutch, and Fidanza clutch and a couple things here and there to be installed once I get everything together.

Going to be getting some XXR 962's 17x7 and 17x9 rears mated to BC or Cusco Coilovers.

My ideas for license plate cause it takes ten weeks to get: MR2 FTW, MR2 QWK, CU 2MRW and 4CFED 2. Let me know what you think

Plannin on powdercoating all the intercooler pipes white.... intake is going to stay rubber right into the turbo!

i like these alot...you should get the intake tube that is like an f1 vent for the roof...i know my description is poopy but theyre sweet...

Looks good. Ive got a couple of buddies with some pretty nicely modded ones. One of them is a 400hp DD, the other guy has about 450-500whp. They are pretty quick little cars.

How is the SVT coming along?

Toms intake style roof scoops look cool, but they dont help 1 bit..... Thie car is designed to pull air from the bottom of the car and the scoops and vent from top. Im planning to keep this car at about 260-300 WHP, which will keep it fun and reliable. Anything after 300 requires injectors, bigger turbo, EMS and a pricey tune. and anything after 400 whp is just not fun to drive. This car is getting painted sometime in the next 3 weeks with the contour. Probably next week tho...

SVT is ready for paint. Ive been waiting for the painter at this time. Its pretty much a free paint job so I am not going to bug the shop. Otherwise I have to pay for it and then end up having to pay full price and I will toss the car lol...

Looks nice! Will look a lot better when lowered. Go with CU 2MRW.
