Someone is going to be pissed when they find out the door sills are blue. :troutslap: Sounds like he's trying to disclose that.

I sent him an email about it, so I'm waiting for his response.

Prime example of an eBay vehicle with many unstated facts. Imagine your surprise bidding and buying this car and slowly finding out all the mods, changes and repairs. This is why I could never buy a car without inspecting in person first. I wouldn't even trust the mileage now. Title transferred to Texas already and car is over 10 years old now so mileage will show "exempt". Seller doesn't even need to certify that odometer mileage is correct to the best of his knowledge.

I own this contour svt and i bought it about 7 months ango and use it to drive back in worth to work. 50 miles a day and have taken it on a couple 500 mile trips to Louisanna. This car was re-painted silver from an ugly blue . Everything was re-painted including door-jams. I guess the car was painted black on the engine bay when the idiot from CALI. painted in Blue. This car runs perfect and shift like a new car . i have added a K&N filter and thats all. This car looks great. I have 2 or 3 tiny rock chips along with a scrap. i drive on terrible roads to work. But to be completly honest this car is a good deal for what i am asking . Also there is no scraps anywhere on the interior it looks great!! The mileage is correct the 1st owner had a bad back and could never drive it, i have been driving with no problems and drive perfect. I need money for the closing cost on a house i am buying. That is why i am selling for a set price 8500 or close to that.Let me know if yall have any other questions or concerns. AND being honest i bought the car for 8000 with 12k miles and got a good deal!! Then put 3300 on a paint JOB. So i am losing here but need to sell. I have been offered locally 7000.

I had a man come buy today and offer me 7500 . i told him to bid and if it does not go over 7500 i will sell to him since i am in a bind for a new house. 800 bucks for the rims and i have a receipt.
 
Did anyone ever determine what the true orignal color of the car really was? T-Red is what it sounds like but the owner never confirmed it.

So your reserve price was met, winning bid was $6,900 but now you will not honor your eBay commitment and will sell to local buyer instead per your post above??

Not cool, if you want to play the eBay gamble to sell then play by the rules!! Set your reserve appropriately or have provision for local sale and close auction early accordingly. Once auction goes the length you should close the deal.
 
please worry about yourself. i am honoring my ebay auction.
the guy will be picking it up tomorrow. He got a hell of a deal!
 
Glad to hear that. You are doing the right thing.

I wouldn't have said anything if not for your earlier post. I'm not a troublemaker but if somebody states they are doing something that I feel is not in the best interest of the CEG community, damn straight I will speak up.

Hopefully the new buyer will check in here and yourself stay on as well. Even no CSVT doesn't mean you can't stay active.
 
yeah i will be staying on board i have another CSVT with 9k miles 2000. ThATS the only reason i sold this one hoping it would bring more.. i am a contour svt collector and love to get them with low mileage.
