Anyone ever use a transport company? Know of any good companies?I am trying to get my car to Stage 3 in Canton, ohio from SO-CAL!Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Hey Demon
I am as we speak using a transport company for a CSVT. I am using bears transport which is a broker. Communication has been a problem for me they can't tell when i will recieve the car, There were also delays picking up the car. I chose them because they had good ratings. I have not been satisfied so far. I googled auto transport ratings to find a good company. Through my experience i would say look for a company that does it's own shipping not a broker. They are most likely a little better and true to their word since they are delivering the vehicle not sub contracting it out. hope this helps.

I got a good deal. 875$ from NJ to OR. 100 deposit the other 775 on delivery to my house. It's tough cause the company had good ratings. So i went with 4 or 5 star ratings with lowest price. Hopefully the car will arrive in the same shape as when they picked it up. Any way go to the rating site that i mentioned earlier and you can get as many quote as you want for free then just be selective. Read feedback articles and use your best judgement. :shrug:I will definitly keep that in mind,I am sorry your expierence has been so horrible. What did they charge? Thanks for the input!
Inop,Thanks for the offer though! Is it driveable? I'll do it. I'm serious. PM if interested.
I used DAS shipping to get my SVT from Virginia to Denver.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
They damaged the paint on the driver's side, they broke the back window and fixed it very shoddily (they didn't divulge that they'd broken it but I can't believe that a dealership would send a car out with glass lying on the back seat), they broke the mesh out of the rear valance and put it in the trunk, and they broke the antenna, bent it over and closed the trunk lid on it.
They gave me a slip that had the condition of the car when they picked it up, and had me mark damage that I could see. That was all fine and good, but the car was so filthy that I couldn't see much of anything. What I could see was way more damaged than was on the pickup slip, so I made a complaint at the office.
When talked to the (extremely crabby, very rude) lady at the office, she dismissed my complaints because it was "an eBay car" and told me that whoever had filled out the pickup slip did a poopy (she used a different word) job, because ANY 10 year old car has more damage than was on the slip.
I filled out all the paperwork and filed claims and sent it all in....... and never heard from them again.
Good luck finding someone trustworthy!
Thanks man, still waiting for a response from your guy! Also try a website called UShip I believe. You register and post a need to ship ad and shippers contact you/bid against each other. That is how I found my shipper although we made a deal outside the site based on circumstances.

couldnt hurt tot look a them, i guess:shrug:
Thanks for the input!FYI, I used to use reliable to ship cars cross-country a lot in my old job, and never had a single issue. I was shipping ultra-expensive OEM prototype test cars cross country on a regular basis, never had one late, or damaged at all. The downside was that they were quite expensive, especially with the enclosed transport like we would use.
Ryan which transport company did you use?
