Havent posted a pic of my SVT in a while; I washed my car for the first time in like a week after a bunch of rain here in michigan, and waxed her up too; Came out really clean... 135K and counting :)

I call this one... Slippery when wet :D

While I was cleaning the car a guy with a super clean 96 GT Stang with a Saleen body kit pulled up and started talking to me about my SVT, said he had a silver one; asked for a couple of suggestions. This car is starting to grow on me.

ugh...i haven't washed my car in a few weeks. but it keeps raining. luckily, with the zaino, one quick wash and it'll be good as new!

aint that the truth! I love the zaino on my car, extremely easy to wash...

I want to paint my E1's though, im thinking a dark Graphite or black.

I am going to be leaving work in a bit, cause I feel like it, and head home and clean the cars up. I get to use my new orbital buffer for the first time too!

I wouldn't man, I don't think dark color would look good for rims on your Tred paint, I would just keep them silver, or touch them up with a little bit brighter silver

yeah, and clean the crud out of the corners of the spokes!!!

it might not come off. those corners might be pitted like so many are. when i bought my car i had that and had to use a scotch bight sponge. yes it would scratch it but with the finish on stock wheels you cant see it. i was never able to get those stains off completely. so i repainted them.

its going to take acid to take it off. I spent a lot of time trying and came down to the point where the only thing that will work is acid or sandpaper, which means I would end up having to paint the wheels. im not extremely concerned though, I got these rims for free with brand new tires because I pulled a couple of favors. My last set of E1's were black and had mismatching tires.

i know. mine were like that too. though after i got my aftermarket wheels the e1's were demoted to winter use and i couldn't have given 2 :censored::censored::censored::censored:s about them!

Yeah, what TGO said:troutslap: and btw Jared, you need an alignment...BAD!, not to mention some new tires. I can look into that for you or maybe get ahold of Ryelou, keep in on the road, you finally have the car of your dreams, now lets keep it that way!

"for the first time in like a week" .... LOL

I wash my cars, on average, once every three months....
It used to be once a week, when I lived at home :(
I hate having a dirty car, but hate even more paying $10 for some water and soap ...

 my tires have like 10K miles on them, they are brand new BFG G-force T/As

and I just did an alignment.

in fact, its driving better than ever as of today, found out my secondaries were only half opening, I thought I needed a new IMRC, I didnt, it was the linkage between the front and rear secondaries, I feel like I added a friggan turbo to the car, I love revving it up now. (BAD!)

Have you ever tried a rinseless wash product?...It is what I mostly use in the winter in Michigan. They work great when the use of a traditional wash (bucket, hose, etc.) isn't practical or available.

Protect All makes a decent product called Quick & Easy Wash that can be bought at RV stores, etc. http://www.protectall.com/qelg.htm

If you don't mind buying online (slightly more expensive, but better results):

Optimum Polymer Technologies sells a very good rinseless wash: http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-no-rinse.html

DP also has a very good one that I have had had great results with: http://www.autogeek.net/dp-rinseless-four-in-one.html

Not yet. Rinseless car wash is constantly on the bottom of the "things to purchase" and "things to do" lists. Thanks for the suggestions though!
