Ok my AC blower stopped working all together yesterday and possibly the compressor It's hard to say. I was wondering if there is a legend anywhere that says what fuses and relays control what.

Yeah I think I have an owners manual somewhere , but I downloaded the one from fleet. I checked all the fuses and relay except one. I will have to wait till the wife gets home so I can swap hers in. The resistor pack looks ok too but I might just throw hers in to be sure. After that I am at a loss. The HVac controls are working I definatly here it change from off to panel and such. I don't hear the A/C compressor coming on so I am at a loss as to why the fan and A/C compressor both would not be working.

a bad condenser, low charge, bad switch on top of the condenser (senses the charge in the system and if its low then it shuts off the compressor to avoid damage), etc.

The ones I found melted in junkyard had perfectly good connectors on them, the wire itself was overheating close to the plug in matrix. I think that metal to metal crossover point is not substantial enough, causing localized overheating. More Ford bean counter engineering, the more dependable the part, the more they cheap out and cause their own headaches. Look at all the recalls for stupidly made parts, most of which were engineered to be reliable for years until Ford reverse engineers them to be too cheap to last.
