Curious what everyone is paying in "parts only" for a common rebuilding of your mtx-75. Looking to get some figures. Please do not include the cost of a new diff itself or the fluid. But include the necessary bearings for the diff. Talking about overhauls, new bearings, seals, shift forks, any syncros and blockers etc.... Doesnt matter were you get them from, Bill jenkins, or local etc... Just looking for what you paid in parts prices only not labor.

Please dont include any of the pre-made price lists either, I want to know your specific build, hopefully the most recent with the most recent updates if possible. For the record, I already have had a few mtx's built and no roughly what they cost. So dont need any estimate figures either. Just facts. Doing some research. Thanks

Well I reckon you could send it off to Terry for a full overhaul of "everything" for 2.2 million.

Did you call Paul or your buddy @ liberty, I think he's got some NOS parts he could sell you....

I already have all the parts waiting for me  . My bill was quite high though, even at the cost I am getting them at. Which usualy beats Jenkins and the rest. Thats why I am a bit curious if parts costs has gone up. I know the new third syncro is more, because you have to buy the gear at $70 my cost :blackeye: .

But hmmm @ $2.2 mill does sound like a good idea

Yes! Thanks Starjamner. That confirms the price. Is this through Jenkins or something? Mine is a little more, as I had to buy the whole third gear and syncro, which is about $70. Wonder why you did not have this. when did you order? Seems the cost of a good full rebuild has gone up a bit :blackeye: .

I bought the stuff the beginning of Feb. I bought everything through Jenkins. I have a sheet of everything that Libertys charged me too if interested..(labor, some misc parts, and for a mod they did to the gears too)

star, if nobody else is interested in that I am.
I will be building a trans soon and a shop will be doing it so I want to see how much the total was as well. Did they put your new trans in as well?

Nope, Todras, SVT SNOB, and I pulled it and installed it. They were really helpful, couldnt have asked for better people to work with. Thanks again guys! PM me your email and ill send you a detailed listing of everything that was done.

How was your experience w/ Liberty. The same few people keep praising them (myself included) it would be nice for others to hear some other peoples positions as well.

Brett- Moving April, Ill be closer.... lets rip that :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: out!

You can for the others if you want. Give them a good idea to a better alternative than the "usual". I am assuming they did the micronite type finish on the gears? Good stuff.

So far so good with their trans. When I started the car, and went to run it through the gears, everything was REALLLLLLY tight inside of it. I couldn't get 5th to go into gear for anything. I finally was getting mad, so I shoved my shifter into 5th and it went POP. Everything seems to work pretty good now lol. Then again I only have a mile if that on the trans. Reverse is sometimes a little hard to get into, (I grinded it a tad the first time because it was not fully engaged). You or Brian experience this at all?

Thats most likely due to a dry lubrication issue. Best to let the car run a little and pump the clutch some to get the gears rolling a little inside to pick up some oil. Also wouldn't hurt to make sure your linkage is adjusted right as well. Things can get shifted in a trans install sometimes.

is F5RZ 1117 AA the correct part number for diff output seals?

I ordered some online, that turned out to be for a mazda (they said ford contour, 5spd, but were for a mazda 5spd, dur)

so right now I'm looking for the right ones

the stealership gave me the number above but wanted to double check. price at the local ford is 10 something a piece, so I dont see the point in paying shipping on 14 bucks at team ford, just to wait on them in the mail.

I'll probably get a refund on the clutch disk I ordered from team ford and buy mine at the local ford because I'm sick of waiting on it.

any pointers an swapping them out without the correct tools would be sweet too

I've got another question, has anybody ever tried to use a zetec clutch disk in a v6?

I ask because no ford dealers can find me a svt disk right now, and I've found a centerforce disk for a zetec that looks good but I'm not sure if it is the right thickness.
