Ive been looking for a short shifter for my svt contour and I found one for 40 bucks on www.spectuning.com. I was wondering if that one is any good. If not what is a good short shifter for the svt and what is the wedsite so i can check it out?

well i ended up buying the shifter anyway. They sent me a picture of it and its exactly the same as the B & M one. They are made exactly with the same material and everything. So ill tell everyone how it really is when i get it and install it cause it was a great deal I got the shifter and shift knob for less than 70$. So im just hoping its a decent one.

they are not exactly the same, all the knock off break! I hope you keep your stock shifter in the trunk with the tools to swap it out ...

They will tell you anything to sell it to you.

Every shifter besides the original B&M is a knock-off of B&M. (excluding Steeda/FRPP)

yeah ill def keep my original shifter. I just thought why not for less than 70 bucks you might as well just go for it. But ill know the difference cause i had a 2000 black svt contour with the B & M shifter in it so ill be able to compare the difference with you guys and be able to say if this spectuning is a good product or not

and for $30 you could have gotten a Steeda Tri-ax shifter off ebay ... true it takes more work to put it in but its a better product all around

I bet it will feel the same as the B&M but this one is going to brake where the other will not ...
