hi i had a code for my egr valve i believe ones a 332 and other is 327. 332 (R,M) EGR did not open/respond during test or if memory code, did not open intermittantly 327 (O,R,M) EGR feedback signal is/was low . if i disconnect the 5/8 rubber hose will the car run better? im planning to drive my 95 contour down to cali and back.

Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor aka EGR Backpressure Transducer.

Another cheap thing to try is to clean out the rubber hoses. Be careful taking them off and then spray some carb cleaner through them.

Those codes are not really DPFE related though. EGR's rarely fail but they still do.

Of course they are. Either (or both) code may be due to a bad DPFE sensor.

Hrm. Learn something new every day. Never seen those codes. Usually see P0401 and with a DPFE replacement it usually goes away.

i have a 95 contour so i have the OBD1 forgot to mention that. zetec motor.
