Yeah, but an Si badge really doesnt mean much compared to a Type R badge.

On the newish civics it was the difference between like 105 horsepower and 120. wooooo 15 horses.

Yes, that's a stock Civic Si Hatchback. I owned an '87 Civic Si Hatchback for a few years before I purchased my 96SE. My Civic Si would average 35MPG in the city and 45-47MPG on the highway. With only 90HP, it was still surprisingly quick, because it didn't weigh much at all. On a 'controlled course,' it could sprint up to 127MPH. A 5-speed manual was the only transmission choice, aiding with the acceleration and fuel economy. The back seats could slide fore and aft. The 'trunk' was only about 10 inches of space behind the rear seats.

The 'Si' badge meant that it came standard with 'sporty' body molding, a sunroof, air conditioning and fuel injection (the other Civics were still had carbs). My biggest complaint was that it didn't have cruise control (or at least mine didn't!). In addition, those 1.5L engines were known to have overheating problems due to a design defect -- I installed a special head gasket just to try to alleviate this common overheating issue (it worked somewhat). It was a fun car, but I've put many more miles on my sportier and more comfortable 96SE.

I am still in love with the 99-00 SI to this day. I've been so close to getting one many times, but being that they are one of the top stolen cars in the US and insurance is more on one then my CSVT I just havn't ever talked myself into actaully getting one. Also you have to do some pretty serious upgrades to get one to the HP and TQ of a "Stock" CSVT

ya dude its totally not worth it unless ur gettin one of the NEW si's. one of my friends has a '07 si, 197hp i-vtec dohc. that thing is a BEAST. he can absolutely fly. its pretty sick. but like u said, its stolen so often, im pretty sure the only car thats beat it is an acura integra, which i KNOW is the most stolen car in the US.

dude if u just knew the town in which i worked, u would laugh at a corvette being towed too. i would MUCH rather see a nice pimped out chevy nova than all the mercedes', bmw's, even ferrari's that i see. i even see a q-vale. yes, a q-vale. wtf is a q-vale do u ask? beats me. its a freakin ridiculous car. so when u see these a$$hole richies who know next to squat about cars and theyre drivin a corvette and the thing doesnt even start, u find it kinda funny.

and btw, i DID use google, AND yahoo, AND CARDOMAIN. i could not find relevant enough searches/image searches, so i figured someone here might know. wanna shut ur face? thanks.

yea when i bought my CSVT the rear svt crest and one of the 24v h.o was missing with some screwdriver scracth around it...

Are those guys really idiots because they don't know jack about their expensive cars?

They can afford them so they obviously know a thing or two on being successful. I don't know about you I certainly don't know all too many career mechanics that can afford those types of vehicles.

You are 16 right?

And you seriously sound like that fcking idiot that shot up those 32 people at VT. Rich person complex...issues...w/e

Get some perspective...

you are still missing my point dude. and no i am not 16. but if u think i am then u can live in ur own a$$holish world. seriously dont talk to me.

Okay you need to keep in mind we dont know the town you work in, therefore we wont know what makes it funny. If its a "this is funny if you are here to witness it" kind of thing, then its pretty obvious that you shouldn't post it.
