ok... last exhaust question I'll ask...

Alrighty... I had my resonater deleted because it was only thirty bucks and I figured what the heck, it's worth a try, I really like the sound about half the time, but I do too many short drives and the engine is always cold. So when I fire it up it's nice and raspy =\ what should I do now?

I know the magnaflow resonater idea is popular, but what about a pair of magnaflow mufflers? or will that be even worse than my current setup...?

Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated :) thanks
 
I'm going with a glasspack instead of the resonator. I know of a few people with that setup, and it sounded sweeet. <Cough, Christine ....Allen, Cough> :laugh:

first time i heard this combo i said :drool:
aggressive enough to be noticed but not so aggressive as to be obnoxious (ie ricer) and/or attract the attention of the nearest county mounty

I have a un-resonated tru-bendz with a magnaflow muffler. Everyone told me that it would be WAY too loud and I would go to a resonator within weeks. I was suprised at how quiet it was! I mean I've driven right next to cops, downshifted at keep it at like 4K and he doesn't even give me a glance. :shrug: I've never heard the magnaflow resonator, but I can't imagine it would be even close to how loud mine is. But then again, when i think loud I think of my friends open exhaust, catless srt-4 :drool:.

I think as long as you do some sort of resonater muffler combo you will be okay, the resonator is a stright through design and doesn't take away and perfomance but it keeps that wraspy, rice burner sound away. If you do the rice thing you bring shame upon all contour drivers erverywhere, save some face and do the right thing, buy a magnaflow and keep it sounding good!!

No I guess I haven't... Nearly everyone that I talked to said that I would be hating the system. I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't get your input, because I was defintely skeptical on getting it at first. Definetly glad that I didn't go with the "quality" SS tips, sprung the extra couple of bucks and had them weld on some 3 inch magnaflow straightcut tips. I think they look much better than the Camaro looking tips!
