I am looking at replacing one of my 10" RF Punch HE2. I have done alot of searching here on the forums. I know there is alot of opinions out there on what is best. I am still running an old hand me down Sony XM-2200GTX amp. I know I NEED to replace that too, but I want to get a good amp so I have to save up for that. I was looking at some Diamond Audio 10" D6's, or maybe just get some newer punches? I was pretty happy with the current ones. I am not sure when/how I blew my current one but maybe the fact that I blew it means I should get something bigger? Or maybe I dont have the amp set up correct? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

what its doing ? no sound at all ?
i saw some of those HE2 having a problem with the wire linking the connector to the coil, check them maybe you need to re-welding them.
btw, how did you plug your sub on your sony amp ? bridged or 1 voicecoil per channel ? You have a DVC subs on a 2CH who's not stable bridged into 2ohm.

Some questions: What is your current setup? How much space are you willing to give up? What's your budget?

Thanks for the help guys. I will post a pic of my setup and a pic of the sub so you can see how it blew. Space is not really an option. I dont use my trunk for anything. I dont know how much I want to spend really. Mid to high quality I guess. I dont wanna spend money on crap and then just have to buy more later, ya know?

Diamond Audio kicks arse. However, that amp is only 200 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms or 250 watts RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms. You don't have near enough power for the Diamonds which are 500w RMS a piece. I have a 10" M6 right now getting 550W RMS and love it. Wish I had two or would have gone with a 12", but other than that I couldn't be happier.
Your amp is more suited for the Diamond Audio D3 subs.
Why the EXTREME overkill on the fuse?

Believe it or not someone on these forums recommended that to me. I have been meaning to get a smaller rated one just never have yet. That is fuse for my whole car since I did the relocation kit. I have a smaller fuse for the amp mounted under the batt.
