I just noticed all the hood insulation was gone as well. Anyone else removed theirs and had a problem with fading later?

the pipe before the tb that has the IAT sensor in it is upside down. or at least I would have installed it with the sensor on the bottom side.

Rawburt, I used a really soapy mitt and cleaned everything, then dried with a towel. When it was dry, I sprayed it with tire wet. Someone posted a how-to from a detailer buddy of theirs on here over the summer. It works great.

No, you'll be fine...removing it actually allows more cool air into the engine bay.
