Tire Rotation Pattern

Sorry if this should be in the tires section, but I just need a simple confirmation...

The rotation pattern for the Contour is to bring the back tires straight up and keep them on the same side, then criss-cross the front tires and put them in the back, right?

DR -> DF
PR -> PF

DF -> PR
PF -> DR

it depends on if you have directional tires or not.

without directionals you have it correct. with directionals you dont criss-cross the fronts, just move them straight back.

I have el-cheapo tires, so no directionals for me

Yeah, you don't want rotationals criss-crossed. Look on the sidewall of the tire, it'll say "Rotation" and have an arrow pointing (hopefully!) forward. Rotationals always stay on whatever side they're on, just move the back to the front and the front to the back.
