Throttle Body from 3.0L Duratec/SVT

Hey,

I am about to go to pick-a-part(local auto wrecker) to get the 60mm throttle body from a 3.0L Duratec
and am wondering if any one has done this swap for the 2.5L(170hp/non-SVT)?

Have you considered doing an SVT UIM and TB? That's far more common.

it will bolt up, but it has a big opening cut into it for the idle. gaskets could overcome that. The throttle plate has a larger hole in it also.

Also the cam that the throttle cable attaches to has a different profile and opens much faster. depending on the year, it has no tension spring attached to the shaft to close it; it uses an external spring.

I haven't been able to find any SVT's for parts locally. I live near Vancouver, BC, Canada anyone know where I can get SVT parts?
