Spotted in Kalamazoo

I was leaving WMU campus and saw a Silfro SVTabout 9:20am. Possibly lowered, exhuast, emblem overlay, maybe a gauge pod and silver rims. Who was it?
 
I've seen that one around campus too. I don't know who it belongs to though. I think I've seen your car around a lot too. I can't believe how many are here. Not all are SVT's though, including mine, lol. I've seen a few pre-98's and like 2 or 3 maroon 98's and couple dk. green a couple silver and like 3 black. Everytime I'm tempted to leave a note on the car with the CEG website, but then I remember the story that someone told me when they did it... and so I don't.

My boyfriend teases me all the time because while we're driving I'll spot a Contour and tell him. I get all excited when I see another one and it's all because of everyone here. He drives an escort zx2 and has gotten to the point where he'll point out escorts just to spite me. Lol.
 
more then likely its the guy who bought fornettis silfro, thats my guess.

If you haven't seen it, some on the East side were contemplating a pre-super-bowl on the 31st. Any interest in a Lansing meet to get both sides in the middle?:shrug:
 
sounds good to me! I don't even really like football but I wouldn't mine just meeting up with some fellow cegers and knockin down a few brews. im sure I could get a couple contour guys to go, just not sure where in lansing we should go to?

You'd definitely know my car if you saw it, but i take the bus 99% on the time. Spruce green with a tgreen rear bumper, steelies, gauge pod and exhaust(visible mods). Has a contour.org vinyl on the drivers side A-pillar. its getting new suspension(drop) and the bumper painted once its warm.
 
devan you should join us at the superbowl meet, maybe we could all meet up in gr and have a cruise out to lansing, how about you moonlight you down?
 
i dont even know when the superbowl is :shrug:. nor what id be doing then or how much money id have(since i have alot that my car needs). Ill give you a maybe though. :cool:
 
It depends on how much money I have; you said the 31st? I might be able to as long as I get back at a reasonable hour... I have work that Sunday. I've never driven to Lansing by myself and I hear it's one heck of a drive, so it'll also depend on how much driving I feel like doing. The 17th I'll be in Detroit visiting my boyfriend and going to the NAIAS at Cobo Center. I'll probably be there in the morning and afternoon taking lots of pictures.
 
you guys are more then welcome to cruise there in my car if you can't afford gas or just don't feel like driving, I would even be willing to scoop you guys up in kzoo its not too far from me.

devan do you really not know what the superbowl is? if not, its the final game for the NFL.
 
Exactly, it's all about the people. I don't even know what's going on that day. The day was originally proposed as Feb 1 North of Detroit for the EGL's annual Superbowl meet. Just an excuse to gather, and it bombed this year anyway. Some suggested Saturday instead, but there were only a few, so I proposed what I did. Trust me, I've been to a dozen Superbowl parties and probably watched an average of 10 minutes of play time. And this isn't even going to be game day.

If you're able, come out. I've only been to 1 meet myself and it was good. The weather sucked, we looked at each others cars for 15 minutes with chattering teeth then went in and sorta watched the Lions lose the last game of the season. Had good food, let the beverages flow (plenty of both beer and pop), and talked for a couple hours. We all met at least one person we hadn't previously and everybody enjoyed themselves.
