Seat Belt Buckle Removal

I'm trying to remove the female end of the seatbelt buckle from the driver side seat in my 96. I can see it's attached to the seat but can't see exactly how... it almost looks like it's riveted on or something. Can these be removed from the side of the seat and replaced? The mechanism in the buckle broke and needs replacement. Should I just pull the seat so I can see how it attaches or is there a better way. Thanks for any assistance.

Not 100% sure on the 96 but if it is like 98 & up...... Pull the seat and use a Torx bit to pull the bolt off

they are just bolted on, however i believe the passenger seat is LH threaded instead of the normal RH thread (or perhaps the one i was working on just had a stripped nut)

Awesome, thanks for the replies. I'll just pull the seat when I get home and replace the buckle. Good to hear from you Striker, it's been a while!
