I installed my hood strut kit I recieved from the group buy a few months ago and had the gap that I saw some talking about. The problem with mine was the end of the strut mounted to the hood was hitting the fender. A little rap with a hammer and block of wood to the fender lip fixed this. This may not be everyones problem but to check it you get some putty and put it on the fender where it looks the end of the strut would hit. If it squished it down to nothing you need to bend the fender lip down. The hood is sitting exactly where it started without the struts now.
