I've been slathering Aveeno, Aquaphor, Aloe on them the last couple days. I'll have to stop and get some chapstick also! Hit it with multiple things! I saw it suggested somewhere use a mixture of honey and brown sugar and apply with a toothbrush. I shuddered and the shear thought of how much that would hurt!
