Yea I've got the same hood and it was a pain in the ass to get to seat. The catch on the hood was a little over a 1/2" shorter than the OEM hood catch and I had to grind out the mounting holes for the latch to bring it up enough to even make it seat, ****ing ridiculous, but it looks so pretty.

On a side note you could just jerry rig something up to work. Take the front bumper off, get a lower grill.. and mount it up. Not rocket science.

Post a pic of the latch please. Im trying to do this, and cant get the damn thing to latch. I drilled the thing out as much as I can without it dropping off of the studs. Have not tried the washers cuz I dont see what they are going to do. Anyone?
