We picked up a '99 Cougar today to use as a daily driver for my husband. The car is a V6, 5-speed, and has 84,000 miles. It does, however, need a rear drum-to-disc conversion. I have been "hooked up" by blu_fuz for the rear knuckles, but am still looking for the rest of the parts I'll need, and am hoping someone else has them laying around.

Parking brake cables
Rear calipers - I might have these in my shed, I just have to go digging.
Discs/pads in decent shape
Rear soft brake lines

I know I can get all these new/remanufactured through RockAuto, but figured I'd check with the fine individuals of CEG before I go spending all sorts of cash on new.

PM me or reply here, I'll see it either way. I'm here almost every day.

Not to hijack this or anything, Sarah, but I am also looking for the same stuff, wouldnt mind everything to do this, I can get the pads and rotors, just everything else wouldn't mind 2nd hand to make it somewhat cheaper, if there are a couple people willing to let go of some spare parts, this would work for the both of us

Got pretty much all the parts on the way from svttour, svtfixer, and blu_fuz. Still have to get caliper hardware, and maybe a caliper rebuild kit, but we're on the way to rear discs...

You guys rock!

Go with new rear e-brake cables, if you can afford them. Just based on experience is where I am coming from; not int he 'e-brake Sales Biz'. Careful on the rear caliper H/W kits from RockAuto - I found misapplication issues, totally incorrect parts due to wrong pn's.
