magnaflow 14362's?

I have a 98 CSVT. Today I had the resonator cut out and replaced with a straight 2.25" pipe. Didn't ad as much volume as I thought it would. I was looking at the very short stock svt mufflers in the back. Any aftermarket mufflers would have to be very short (11 or 12 " case). I was looking at these...

Anyone running these? I wonder about sound quality and volume. My 17 year old son drives it and just wants "louder". I do not want the "ricer" fart can sound. Looking for more "deep and throaty".
I have a complete stock system with resonator removed. Are the stock pipes at the rear mufflers 2.25"?
Part #'s on any other mufflers would help also.

I'm running the Magnaflow SS Mufflers 14415 with 2 1/2" SS piping into 2 1/4" SS dual piping from CTA Motorsports, no Resenator, BAT Y-Pipe, stock Headers (soon to be changed out).....it sounds real good, nice and throaty. People always tell me it sounds good.
