TGO
King of the OFT
Except for SZ of course.
This saturday i attended a little "R" get together at an irish pub in jersey. Roughly 30 cars...25+ r's, an older 850r, coupe, an S80 V8 and a couple others. People came from PA and as far as Massachusetts!
Just took some quick pics cause it was cold and i wanted to go inside and eat/drink (had the best reuben ever!)
Oh, and one guy showed up with one of these:
The owner (in the first pic) it a bit taller than me, and I asked him how the hell he got in and out of that car. He said "very carefully." I said i dont' think i coudl do it, and he said i was welcome to try...so I did. I imagine it would be much easier with the roof off...but with it on it was extremely hard to get in the car. Passenger side wasn't as bad, but with the steering wheel in the way - dayum! Once you're in the seats...wow, talk about being "one" with a car. Even with no seatbelt i could not see you moving around inside that car!
The worst part was getting out though...cause now gravity is working against you. Getting in, you can sort of just position yourself and fall into place, then pull your leg over the hump on the side. Getting out was much more difficult. Try to imagine ace ventura when he was getting out of the rhino in part 2. Yeah...like that
And the owner drives it every day. I dunno...some people are hardcore!
