Is PRP my only option?

I want to tune my car myself, be able to change just about anything I want, and change it as much as I want. If I'm understanding all the reading I've been doing, the PRP software from SCT will let me do exactly this. Am I correct in my understanding, and are there any other options out there with this much versatility?

We have a dyno at our shop, and I have a problem leaving things alone on my car, so I want the ability to tune, tune, retune and tune some more.

This is correct.

JUST an Xcal will allow you to shift your tune parameters by a certain percentage (but its GLOBAL.. +2degrees timing ACROSS THE BOARD which might be fine at low rpm but DANGEROUS at the upper end.. who knows)
