intermittent hard shift/ vibration

Kinda strange on the way home tonight started out fine drove maybe 3miles slowed to make a right hander at a red light went to make a shift from 2 to 3 and nothing, couldn't hardly move the shifter had to pull over .finally got it into gear and took off then but shifted very stiff .
Slowing down for the next speed zone shifted a little better and then down shifted put my foot in it up to 65 now some how it all acts normal
have also been having an intermittent vibration maybe I should check the engine/trans mounts :shrug:
95 SE v6 MTX rod shift any other ideas ?

maybe you have binding in the rods? and now you feel vibrations more. maybe they are seized

no I don't think so like I said every thing was normal then went to shift at a traffic light and then it happened. also the vibration sorta seemed like a caliper was dragging periodically after hitting the brake hard

possible. but from what you described, it could be a novel amount of reasons

also forgot to mention it stalled when I reached my destination normally on does that when it's cold (throttle hang fix) short drive after my destination every thing seemed fine ,,, maybe it's just mad of all the time I've been spending in my 66 Mustang as of late ?

baffled I wonder if I should be thinking clutch it holds well still but has over a 100k on it .I had a 90 Escort that had the springs wear out before the friction surface .Some times I have to put it in gear then start the engine because it try's to start engaging before I can get it into gear then other times it's fine?
