I'm thinking of getting the indiglo guages from streetracerparts.com for my 99 CSVT and I have a few questions. Do they come with install instructions? What wires do I splice into? And lastly, can someone post a walk through on how to do this? Any help will be appreciated as I am new to this mod. Thanks!

I spliced mine into the dimmer so I can dim them with the rest of the gauges.

There might be a howto somewhere, but I dont recall one. Its pretty much straight forward. Theres 5 or 6 bolts that hold in the dash. Take those out and then unbolt the gauge cluster. I pulled off the needles with a fork, but Ive heard you can slide them on without taking off the needles.

It is pretty easy.. just be patient. I was able to get all 4 overlays on without removing the needles. Mine came with instructions.

For the inverter power source, I spliced it into the radios lighting wire so they will dim with the main dimmer.

Not to go OT but.... has anyone ever seen an inverter with the color "white"? I asked SRP a long time ago, and they said they haven't seen one.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to splice into the radio power source because I have an aftermarket stereo and Best Buy install guys didn't hook up the dimmer switch. Do you guys know what color wires I would splice into behind my dash to make the dimmer work? As I mentioned before, it's a 99CSVT. Thanks again for all of your help.

One more question for you guys. Has anyone installed those hyper glow needles from import intelligence. I'm thinking of getting them along with the indiglo guages and I'm curious as to what people's opinions are. Thanks.

KerryKool...

According to your pics, looks like two led's were for the speedometer and the other two were for temp and fuel guages, one for each. If this is correct, then hypothetically I should need 6 bulbs. 2 for speedo, 2 for tach, 1 for temp and 1 for fuel. I'll order a few more just in case and to have extras. This seems to be a much cheaper approach than ordering those hyper glow needles. Also, I'm not sure whch led's to order from www.superbrightleds.com.

is this the right one?

If you want to do red I have 6 extra (never used) red 74 wedge base bulbs LED's left over from when I did this mod.

I bought them from superbrightleds.com and are still in the bag they came in.

$10 shipped and they are yours. Save yourself a few bucks.

PM me if you want them

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll get them from the site because I want to get extras; however, was my assumption correct? Do I only need 6 bulbs for the SVT guages?

I think so, but don't take my word for it. 6 LEDs would be the minimum to guess.

teamSVTtour what did you end up doing with your guages? I remember that you didn't like how they turned out.

6 is the correct # for a SVT cluster.

No, I'm still running the Indiglo gauges w/ the 6 - color inverter from SRP. I think these are probably the best gauges out right now for our platform.

So I broke down and ordered the indiglo guages, glowing style AC panel and light switch from street racer parts. I hope it comes with wiring instructions. Otherwise, I'll be looking for all the help I can get. I'll post pics and possibly a how to once I get 'em. Thanks again guys.
