Fiberglass Eyelids

they will be the same design as the ones that Luca and Dpa43 already own.. I sent in the assemblies with printed out pictures showing several angles. Also included a note stating that the eyelid is to follow the top line of the assembly on the lens.

These are for 98+ only -- not sure how different the Mystique assembly would be but I would assume that modifying a fiberglass Contour eyelid would be much easier than making your own?

I told him that these would move and sell like hotcakes... at this price they should.. lets prove to him that we will put our money where are mouth is.. This will only allow us to have additional products made for us in the near future.. ;)

not entirely sure yet as right now I just need to provide numbers for him so they know how many to make.. Justin wants to move a large number of these things...

perhaps shipping breaks or multiples discounts could apply -- I'll touch base with Justin at the time when I make the phone call with the amount of product we initially need.

I looked in your old thread for the pics (thought I saw them there), but didn't see any. I recall the eyelids looking rather thick.. and didn't blend/taper well to the headlight. Was that just my interpretation of the pictures.... do they indeed taper down to the headlight? Also it looked like the eyelids stuck out past the fender.

If I'm mistaken, then I am interested.. but I'll hold off adding myself to the list until this can be clarified.

OK i'm going to assume these are going to come unpainted, so what is some advice on paint. Rattle can with some clear coat? I'm getting really excited about these after seeing those pics again

I'm going to use rattle can. duplicolor. i will probably sand it a bit (maybe 400 grit) to give the paint some "bite", hit it with some adhesion promoter, Grey primmer, color then clear. i have always had good results with that.
 
I have a set of the original fiberglass ones but for this price I might as well pick up some CF so I have both :laugh:
