Do you know chamber volume on a 3.0 cylinder head,gasket thickness, and how far in the hole the pistons sit atTDC?

I have all my 3.0 engines torn down to the bare block right now or I would check myself.

Dunno about the vol of heads nor gasket thickness, but you're gonna be using a stock head gasket. As far as how far the pistons sit in the cylinder, are you trying to figure out install? Or just looking for figures?

Do you know chamber volume on a 3.0 cylinder head,

i don't know what the volume is but you could;

put one head upturned on to a set of scales, then level. Note weight.

Fill one chamber with water and note new weight.

calculate volume by weight increase. Kinda eureka in reverse !

You could repeat the process filling all three chambers and dividing by three for a better average.

Tricky part could be getting the water level with the deck height because of the surface tension curvature

My 3l head gasket is 0.7mm at the flat edge and 1.55mm at the raised ring around each cylinder. Petty hard to get a constant reading cos it's made of 4 loose layers..... G.
