I really hate to ask this, because I'm afraid this has already been covered. Has anyone brought up a rough price for these non-painted eyelids? If there hasen't been any mention to it, then just let me know. If the price is reasonable, then I'd very much be interested in being part of the group buy.

Did anything every become of the carbon eyelids?

wow what an interest, I am making my own but just for some ideas here ya go. They are a work in progress and are made from fiberglass.

BlackE1, not to knock your work but those eyelids look pretty big. Don't you think they are covering up too much of the headlight? I think something along these lines would be sweet:

edit: ok i sent justin a pm again and told him how many sets and such. i asked him if he would want to work with us. if he dosnt reply i think we can count him out.

I sent a PM to Justin with pictures of the sail panels -- he's getting back to me with a quote..

As far as the eyelids, keep the counts going we really need to prove to them that they will sell the units. He may be slow with reponses but I know their work is top knotch and definately the best bang for the buck.

Anyone live in South Dakota so they can pay the shop a visit at all? I'm about 6+ hours away but have a friend in Souix Falls that I could possibly pester but she has a Cougar.

I just received a PM from Justin. He is talking to the guys in his shop about making these and will work on a price also.

I let him know that there is a good deal of interest from the CEG members for these.

Also, I have offered to send my eyelids (not literally) for him to use.

well the vast majority want fiberglass ones so we can have them painted to patch the car ... I am sure one those are made you can get a carbon fiber set ...

I will talk it over with my associates and see what they would like to do. But if they want to go through with making the parts all I would need is a set of the eyelids to make a mold out of. I'll let you know,

I'm sure they will do both CF and Fiberglass versions like they do with all other parts they make.
