can replace 2.5 svt dohc with this 3l duratec DOHC ?

I am not sure if this is the right motor or not, but I hear everyone replacing their 2.5 svt motor with the 3.0L motors.. from 2005 taurus ?

is this the engine I need? that will make my comperssion 9:1, and give me lil more horse and mpgs ?

if not can someone point me to where I can find which engine to get..I have been searching the site for the past hour.. ty in advance..

Yes, a 2005 Taurus 3L Duratec will work. Only the 3L Vulcans dont work, or any newer ones (Fusion) with VVT
