Any Vids Of Turbo 3L Monsters Losing..

well sorry if I dont keep a picture of a pickup for 12 years just to prove that I had it. I have moved 3 times since I totalled out that escort, and I have changed computers 4 times. I'll look for the pics some time, but I will probably have an easier time finding pics of my KLZE escort which I still had until about a year and a half ago. Although it got stolen a little more than 2 years ago. Actually, better than pics. Tell you what, you can go to west side auto body in Oakes, ND. Talk to chad, ask if you can go out in the yard and look at Jeremy's escort GT. It should still be out there since he just crushed cars a couple months before I brought my escort down there, and he only crushes cars every 2-3 years.

If you like though, I can give you my Grandmother's number so that you can call her and ask her if my grandfather gave me the 48 ford pickup. Or my parents number so you can ask them about the 48 or the ranger.

What kinda dumb flame baiting is this anyways?

The flaw in your logic is that everyone knows people in the Dakotas only drive tractors.

I understand that fully....but all those cars without one picture?

Heck, I don't have ONE pic of my 95 when it was in mint condition before I hit the deer....or my talon....or my tracer...or my vision....or any other car. When he built those cars, digital cameras weren't a huge thing yet.

Here is a pic I found of the KLZE that I had taken way back when to show the judge at small claims the work in the car I was suing over.

Also added pics of a truck that I fixed after a roll-over and pics of a trailer that I painted after the welder at the farm replaced two of the side panels. You know.... Just in case you dont believe I have worked on semi's before either.

But then again, what do these pics actually prove? Nothing. They could have just been random pics I took of other peoples work for all you know. Or you could just take my statements at face value from someone who obviously knows a hell of a lot about escorts.

I didn't learn all that stuff about them incase I someday own one.

Anyways, I will look for more pics. I know my mother in law took some pictures of my turbo escort from back when my wife and I first got married cause she thought it was a cute car and liked taking pictures of me when I was working on the cars.(I know it sounds weird, dont ask) Next time I am in north dakota, I will look through her piles of photos and find them for you.

This evening maybe I will go to my parents house and look through some old photo CDs and zip disks to see if I can find more pictures.

so uh... now are you gonna show us pics of your turbo 3L build that you insist is going to be teh fastest contour ever?

Ok, the reason I do not plan on looking into houses right now is because as soon as i get my degree I have no other choice but to leave michigan. unless of course the economy turns around which would be great. sure i could rent an apartment, but id rather not waste the money. I am not investing into my car, it is my hobby. It gives me something to do, and i could careless if it depreciates in value. I lost my ass on the contour, which sucks but at least i had fun along the way.

stay at your parents place till the economy starts turning. You dont want to be forced to relocate just because of the economy, then regret it later when things start opening up in the area you wanted to live in. I mean I know for a lot of people they have no choice, but you do. So yeah, you are better off staying with your parents for a while longer till things settle down more since that is a stable situation anyways.

Little do you know, Rawburt's living at home has probably been the BEST financial decision he could have made.

Lets say, for fun, he moved out ehhhh 3-4 years back and bought a place in the subs of the dirty D. How about we estimate $175,000 for the home. Outside of some HIGHLY select neighborhoods, what is that sucker worth today?

If he dropped 20% down, that value would most likely be GONE! If he did 100% financing (as most did in the era of cheap money) he'd be stuck with negative equity.

Priorities? He doesn't have mouths to feed. From what I understand all his financial obligations are met. And, isn't he still in college? I would wager that less than 10% of this population started retirement savings/investing prior to graduation. Who knows, he might be doing it anyway...I wouldnt come on some car forum flapping about my 401(k)/IRA contributions.

Could he use his cashflow differently? Sure. But he seems to generate a lot of happiness and pride with the way he chooses to allocate his funds.

If you're going to dog the guy, do it for important things, like hazy headlights!

...and I can spin the tires well into 3rd!!! (to keep this thread on topic.)

skadoosh!

I couldn't see myself living at home right now, but in your case, I can't say I blame you. It's better than living on your own and then losing your job, and finding out you have to move BACK in with your parents. If you had a mortgage during that time, you'd not only be living with your parents, but you'd have a trashed credit report as well, assuming you didn't have enough saved up to live on until you find more work.
On the brighter side, Rawburt's not smart enough to become a doctor, so we know he won't be at home for 12 years of college. Just messing with you, Rawburt.
