3L with stock svt tranny

i have a stock tranny and diff in my 3L... but i dunno.

lately my shifting is becoming very hard, gear transition is not smooth, and it seems like the shifter catches for 1/4 of a second in neutral so i cant not shift fast or smooth. also, when cold i can not get into first gear almost ever! so we will see how long my tranny/diff lasts.

now if you get an LSD should your tranny be ok? or does that not help the tranny at all?
 
the lsd diffs such as a torsen or quaife just prevent your diff from snapping, your transmission will still eventually wear out its other parts such as bearings and synchros, but that isn't affected by power, just how you drive it
