I would so love to do this just for the adventure of it. The $600 would be hard to procure so I imagine selling sponsor spots on your car would be one way to raise it.

That sounds like it would be fun. I just perused the website briefly -- is it $600 per car, so you'd split it with your co-driver?
 
Reading the site more thoroughly (not the cleanest interface) the $600 gets you:

Here is what your $600 got you last year.

Entry into the rally including stickers for your car.
Lunch at the starting point
Dinner @ Hooters the first night.
A hotel for 2 in Downtown Boston the 2nd night.
A dinner at Fire & Ice in downtown boston, paid in full (except for drinks/alcohol)
A lunch at the finish on Day 3.
Entry for the poker run (I believe the winners got $1500ish? Not totally sure).
Memories that will last you a lifetime.
Plus some trophies and raffles at the end.


So it sounds like it pays for everything except for tolls, road snacks and gas. And potential tickets.
