Figured i'd try to post here since i havent in quite some time. Here are some updated pics of SVT 1914, my never ending autocross project. If anyone has any questions about the car, feel free to ask.
yes, thats me! lolThis you?
I did get new wheels, but the old ones are for my street and rain competition tires. I'm up to 3 sets of wheels right now: 17x7.5 MSR 013 wheels with 225/45R17 Continental Extreme Contact Sport, 17x9 Cobra 5 spoke with 245/40 Yokohama A052, and the 17x10/17x9 staggered setup (Shown in original post) with 275/35 and 225/45 Hoosier A7sAlways liked your car! I can't tell from the photos, but did you get new wheels?
Edit: If you did, can I buy your old ones? ; )
I recall you had some spacers or something. I can't imagine those cobra wheels would fit easily without rubbing like mad. Always liked the idea of it though. If you have any pic's with the cobra wheels would love to see them!I did get new wheels, but the old ones are for my street and rain competition tires. Its a carbon fiber trunk. There are a few of them floating around. Just have to keep your eyes open for one. Another common trunk swap is a pre98 trunk with a lip spoiler.I absolutely love that spoiler! Is that a custom piece or where is that from? I hate the factory spoiler on SVTs but I’ve always wanted a small lip spoiler like this.
Here are some pics of it with the narrower 17x9 Cobra wheels. This is with a 1/4" spacer up front. The 17x10 wheels up front require a 1/2" spacer.I recall you had some spacers or something. Ah awesome. I’ll never justify the money for one if I ever see it. A guy locally was selling a pretty beat 95 V6 Sport with a lip spoiler and the car was mostly only good for parts and he wouldn’t swap or sell any parts. “$600 take the whole car and you can have all the parts you want.” Sorry I don’t also live on a farm where I can store extra vehicles all willy nilly. Lost out on that. It was also red which matched so that would have been nice. Its a carbon fiber trunk. There are a few of them floating around. Just have to keep your eyes open for one. I may be over simplifying this, but are you saying one could purchase OEM SVT Cobra wheels and with a spacer up front be good with no rubbing? I'm sure suspension comes into play, but this is intriguing to say the least. Here are some pics of it with the narrower 17x9 Cobra wheels. This is with a 1/4" spacer up front. If you have enough spring rate, yes. I run 550lb front spring and dont have any rubbing at all.I may be over simplifying this, but are you saying one could purchase OEM SVT Cobra wheels and with a spacer up front be good with no rubbing?
