It's El wire vs. a whole lit up bar. Similar end result, but it looks much different when comparing.
And yes Ryan, you have El wire around your projectors. That's what I posted about earlier. I have pics of this from 2005, just have to dig them up.

that is really cool...would look sweet on a black csvt for sure, especially if it had black rims with a red stripe
