4.0L

Hell why not just try the 4.7L from a Mustang. But probably not since space is already limited with a 2.5L and because it would cost too much to try. but S@#! if you got the Mula go ahead and try.
 
Yes, people have thought about it. People have asked if the SHO engine will fit or if the new 3.5L will fit. Nobody here has the money to put it where there mouth is, so nothing ever becomes of it.

Dig up $20K+ and make it fit. :shrug:
 
well, according to his location he is the stig, i would guess so.

You didn't mention which 4.0L but let me see....no, neither of them will fit. As you've likely caught on by now, questions like these fall into the catagory of "with enough money, anything is possible". Also it falls into "a little searching and you'd have known the answer before asking the question" catagory. Generally rear drive car engines aren't the best setup for a transverse engine designed FWD vehicle because they don't usually have the same engine bay size constraints in RWD vehicles.
