It was the alternator. This is the 2nd one to go bad. Seems to be about every 4 years for me. Thanks for the writeup tho it was a good start to check stuff.
Glad you got it fixed.... I keep a spare alt on the shelf just in case (one from a JY was $25 and looked new in fact a Remaned Motorcraft. I figure the car wasn't there due to the alt)..... in fact I just had the xtra one tested yesterday and it is ready to go....
